'Lego Skylines' announced — a new blocky city builder from Iceflake Studios
A new city-building video game called 'Lego Skylines' was revealed at Gamescom's Opening Night Live, developed by the studio currently working on 'Cities: Skylines II'. The game will launch on multiple platforms, though no release date has been set.

At Gamescom's Opening Night Live, a new title called "Lego Skylines" was announced — a city-building game that lets players recreate the childhood joy of constructing imaginative cities out of Lego bricks, this time in video game form.
The game is set to release on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2, though no specific release date or window has been shared yet.
Ties to Cities: Skylines
The project is being developed by Iceflake Studios, the team currently handling ongoing work on "Cities: Skylines II". Publisher Paradox Interactive, the franchise's long-time publisher, had previously removed original creator Colossal Order from the sequel following a difficult launch that caused significant tension between the developer and the game's community. Paradox Interactive will also publish "Lego Skylines".
The newly released trailer showcases the colorful, playful style typical of the famous toy brand, combined with familiar city-building staples such as residential plots and the need for fire services.
After a rocky stretch in the franchise's history, the new project is seen as a hopeful fresh chapter. Fans following Iceflake Studios' work on "Cities: Skylines II" have reportedly been pleased so far, with hopes that this positive momentum carries over into "Lego Skylines".
