Memorial Exhibition for Jānis Streičs Opens at Riga Latvian Society House

At the Riga Latvian Society House, a new exhibition dedicated to the memory of Jānis Streičs has opened. The display, titled 'Remembering Jānis Streičs', is housed in the White Hall of Māmuļa. It is a memorial solo exhibition that marks the beginning of a series of commemorative events.
In the near future, a number of activities are planned to honour the legendary film director, writer and painter, who would have turned 90 on 26 September this year. Jānis Streičs was an outstanding figure in Latvian culture, leaving a significant contribution to cinema and literature. Moreover, Streičs once served as chairman of the Riga Latvian Society, which gives special significance to an exhibition held in this very house.
