Jānis Sildniks: I have statistics on why some politicians are disliked, but I won't name them
Media expert Jānis Sildniks reveals he has data on politicians' unpopularity, but he won't disclose names due to fear of repercussions and a previous KNAB fine.

Media professional Jānis Sildniks, who regularly comments on politicians' social media activity, has revealed that he possesses data explaining why some politicians are simply disliked by the public. The data is compiled into a graph he prepared for the show "Nekā personīga", which annoyed him personally.
Sildniks admits he previously received a 400-euro fine from the Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (KNAB) for publishing and advertising overly grand content during the pre-election period. This experience, along with a desire to avoid trouble during election night reporting, led him to refrain from naming specific politicians.
"I will not mention specific politicians, as I do not want to either promote or defame anyone. Moreover, by keeping this article anonymous, I significantly reduce my chances of getting punched when I am reporting from party offices on election night," Sildniks writes.
He notes that the graph serves as a "totem" of politicians' inability to please society, despite post-election reports from hired agencies or consultants showing all indicators as satisfactory.
