Latvian musicians Jānis Stībelis and Gacho have released a collaborative single titled “Tikai tālāk” (“Just Keep Going”). The song addresses life's hardships, loss, and the inner strength needed to keep moving forward when everything seems to be falling apart. A music video for the track was released alongside the single.

The concept behind the song

Stībelis explains that the song touches on something every person experiences at some point — moments when life deals a heavy blow, a loved one is lost, or one's previous sense of stability collapses. According to him, “Tikai tālāk” is not a story about giving up, but about the ability to gather oneself and keep going. The song is also built around a lesson that parents pass on to their children through example, and it serves as a personal tribute to Stībelis's father. He notes that he had wanted to record something new with Gacho for some time, and this theme turned out to suit them both — after which the lyrics and melody came together naturally.

The song's message is described as a positive call to maintain self-belief during difficult periods of life and to find the strength to move forward. The music video was created by Jānis Štāls.

Upcoming concert tour

This month also marks the start of Jānis Stībelis's concert tour, which will feature both audience favorites and new compositions from his upcoming album. Stībelis says the tour offers a chance not only to revisit songs that have accompanied listeners through different stages of life, but also to introduce entirely new material, adding that a song truly finds its meaning during a live performance.

Tour dates are set for Jelgava (October 30), Krustpils (November 7), Liepāja (November 21), and Riga (December 2).
