As Jāņi approaches, celebrations will take place in many Latvian locations, including special events in Auri, Ābeļu parish, Taurene, as well as the Vecpiebalga Līgo Festival and Lielkrūzes in Jaunpiebalga.

The summer solstice is here, bringing with it the Jāņi holidays, which promise to be full of dances and communal singing this year. Many places have prepared special festivities.
Auri, Ābeļu parish, and Taurene have included celebrations in their local events. Notably, Taurene marks 100 years since it received its melodious name. Meanwhile, the Vecpiebalga "Līgo Festival" will take place for the tenth time, promising to be one of the most resonant Midsummer events in the Piebalga region.
Cozy Jāņi celebrations can be experienced at "Lielkrūzes" near Jaunpiebalga, while other stages across the country offer various music and entertainment. Residents can start with the actual solstice and then continue celebrating Jāņi a few days later.
