New Week in Latvia to Begin with Rain and Thunderstorms

The new week in Latvia will start with variable weather conditions. On the night before Monday, occasional rain is expected in some parts of the country, accompanied by light winds and fog in certain areas. Overnight temperatures will drop to +12..+17 degrees Celsius.
During the day, a cyclone from the south will cross Latvia, bringing cloudy and rainy weather. In the western regions and northern Vidzeme, rain will be locally heavy, and thunderstorms are possible. Winds will mostly remain light, but along the coast and in Kurzeme, northeast and east winds will strengthen, with gusts reaching 15–18 meters per second, and up to 20–21 meters per second on the Kurzeme coast.
Air temperatures in the eastern regions will rise to +20..+24 degrees, while the west will be cooler, with temperatures of +15..+20 degrees.
In Riga, the night will be cloudy with occasional clearings and no precipitation. Light winds will blow, and the temperature will drop to +15..+17 degrees. On Monday, the capital will see cloudy skies, with rain expected in the afternoon and evening—locally heavy, with possible thunderstorms. Winds will be light but gusty during storms. Maximum temperatures in Riga will reach +20..+22 degrees.
