A new voice is making its mark on the Latvian music scene, standing out not only for its sound but also for its striking visual presence. Saxophonist Patrīcija Anna Doniņa leads the band "Pink Funk," whose performances feature bright, hot-pink shirt-style outfits alongside a stage setup decorated with dozens of mirror balls hung above the audience.

Disco meets jazz

The band's sound combines elements of jazz and disco music, creating an energetic and dynamic concert experience. This approach is designed to let listeners momentarily forget everyday worries and fully immerse themselves in the music.

Performances across Latvia

"Pink Funk" has been touring with its new program in several locations across the country. In Riga, the band has played at the culture bar "Masa," while in Ventspils it has performed at the cultural venue "Vieta, kur būt." The group has also appeared at various events in the Liepāja region, reaching audiences in different parts of Latvia.

The example set by Patrīcija Anna Doniņa and "Pink Funk" shows that a new generation of jazz musicians is bringing not only fresh compositions but also a modern visual language to the genre, helping to broaden its appeal and attract new listeners.
