New Ukrainian Commander Pledges to Intensify Strikes on Russian Rear

Mykhailo Drapatyi, who recently assumed the role of Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, has vowed to step up strikes against Russian rear positions. He made this commitment during his first phone call with NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Europe, Alexander Grinkevich, according to the DPA news agency.

Drapatyi emphasized that Ukraine's military will continue targeting Russian supply lines and logistical hubs to weaken enemy capabilities. The new commander previously led Ukraine's ground forces and earned recognition for his operational planning.

The conversation with Grinkevich underscores the close coordination between Ukraine and NATO in organizing military aid. Drapatyi's appointment came after former Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi was reassigned to another post.
