Trains at New Riga Station to Start Operating in 2028
The exterior of Riga Central Station's new southern section will be completed by the end of the year, but passenger trains are not expected to begin service until mid-2028.
The new southern part of Riga Central Station will have its exterior finished by the end of this year. However, passengers will not yet benefit from this development, as the first trains on the new platforms are not scheduled until mid-2028. Further construction is still required, and the completed building will be used for other purposes in the meantime.
