Youth in Summer Camp Reinforce State Defense Skills; Some Aim to Join the Army

While most young people spend the summer relaxing or gaining their first work experience, others choose to refine their state defense skills. In the Alūksne region, at the Lāčusils military training area, a summer camp is underway, bringing together youth from all over Latvia.
Camp participants strengthen and expand the knowledge they acquired during state defense lessons. Some of them admit that this experience has inspired them to consider a career in the army in the future. The camp provides an opportunity to apply theoretical skills in practice and get a closer look at the military environment.
The event is organized in cooperation with relevant institutions, aiming to foster young people's interest in national defense and military service.
