Young woman shares TikTok testimony about sexual abuse by ex-boyfriend's brother
A woman known as Elīna Elizabete has posted a TikTok video revealing that more than three years ago she was sexually abused at night by the younger brother of her then-boyfriend. The video has sparked widespread reaction, encouraging other victims to speak out.

A TikTok video featuring a young woman known as Elīna Elizabete, filmed alongside her dog, has drawn wide attention after she shared a painful personal experience. She reveals that more than three years ago, while staying at her then-boyfriend's family home, she was sexually abused at night — by the younger brother of her boyfriend at the time.
The woman does not go into detailed description of the incident in the video, but instead delivers a powerful message about long-hidden shame, silence and lasting trauma, as well as frustration that the adults around her failed to provide support during the crisis.
A call to speak up
Throughout the video, Elīna Elizabete repeatedly stresses that what happened to her is not normal and was never something she wanted or chose. She urges other victims to take care of themselves, not to be afraid to talk to people around them, and to ask for help even when it feels difficult. In her view, victims should speak more openly about such experiences, since these cases often happen within families, among the closest people, and rarely reach court. She ends her message with a call not to stay silent and not to accept such behavior.
Wide response online
Since being posted on June 1, the video has gathered more than 90,000 views. The comment section shows both support and gratitude for her courage in sharing her story, alongside accounts from other women describing similar experiences. At the same time, some comments reflect the secondary victimization often faced by survivors — disbelief and skepticism toward what was shared.
