New Record: 1:1 Scale Koenigsegg Made of LEGO Bricks Reaches 111 km/h
A full-scale Koenigsegg built from over 327,000 LEGO pieces set a new speed record of 111 km/h, becoming the fastest LEGO car ever.

LEGO and Swedish hypercar manufacturer Koenigsegg have created the fastest LEGO car in the world. The full-size 1:1 scale model, styled after the Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear, reached a speed of 111 km/h on the legendary Goodwood Hill track in the UK.
Koenigsegg test driver Markus Lundh was behind the wheel, more than doubling the previous record of 50 km/h set by a LEGO McLaren P1. The impressive project consists of 327,906 LEGO Technic pieces. Design and construction took over 9,400 hours, and the car weighs approximately 1,800 kilograms.
The record-breaking vehicle was built to celebrate the new LEGO Technic set featuring the exclusive Sadair's Spear hypercar. The real Sadair's Spear is a track-focused hypercar based on the Jesko platform, with up to 1,625 horsepower and a top speed of 360 km/h.
