Residents of several buildings on Palīdzības Street in Jelgava will be without running water for several hours on Thursday, September 24, according to an announcement from the municipal utility company SIA "Jelgavas ūdens."
Affected buildings
The water supply interruption will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will affect buildings at Palīdzības Street 1, 2, 3, 3A, 3C, 4, 5, 6, 6A, 7, 8, 8A, 9, 10A, 11, 12 and 12A.
Reason for the shutdown
The temporary cutoff is necessary to carry out repair work addressing the consequences of a water main accident at Palīdzības Street 7. The company scheduled the works in advance and notified residents ahead of time to allow them to prepare for the disruption.
SIA "Jelgavas ūdens" has also asked residents across the city to stay alert during this period and to promptly report any water leaks they notice, helping the utility respond quickly to further potential problems in the network.
