Jelgava's Social Affairs Department is inviting city residents to take part in free active outings with Nordic walking poles this autumn. The events will take place three times — on September 19, October 17, and November 14.

All the outings will begin at 11 a.m. at the Tea House on Pilssalas Street 2A, with each session lasting around three hours. During that time, participants will be able to learn proper Nordic walking technique, along with warm-up and cool-down exercises.

The sessions will be led by coach and Nordic walking instructor Sanita Dubrova.

Registration required

Anyone interested in joining one of the outings is asked to register in advance.

The activity is being carried out as part of the European Union fund project "Health Promotion Activities in Jelgava," which aims to encourage physical activity and a healthy lifestyle among residents.
