Traffic arrangements changed on several streets in Jelgava
Jelgava's municipal agency "Pilsētsaimniecība" has introduced stopping and parking restrictions on Sarmas, Pērnavas and Puķu streets.

Traffic arrangements have been changed on several streets in Jelgava, the largest city in Latvia's Zemgale region. The municipal agency "Pilsētsaimniecība" announced the changes, which affect Sarmas, Pērnavas and Puķu streets and concern restrictions on stopping and parking vehicles.
Sarmas Street
Road signs prohibiting stopping have been installed on the section of Sarmas Street from building No. 13 to No. 19. The signs reinforce an existing restriction: parking in this zone was already banned and marked by a solid horizontal road line.
Pērnavas Street
On Pērnavas Street, near property No. 10, the zone in which vehicles may not be parked has been extended. The change is intended to improve visibility at the pedestrian crossing and make it easier for public transport to move through.
Puķu Street
No-stopping signs have been installed at Puķu Street 20A to ensure access to the property at Puķu Street 2.
The municipality explains that a household waste collection service provider drives through the property at Puķu Street 20A. Until now, cars parked there have often blocked its exit and made it harder to provide the service.
