Jelgava Sports Hall Refurbishes Flooring and Logos During Summer
During the quieter summer period, Jelgava Sports Hall is undertaking planned maintenance, including floor lacquering and renewal of logos in the center circles of the sports halls, replacing old symbols with the institution's current visual identity.
Jelgava Sports Hall is carrying out scheduled repairs during the summer months when indoor sports activities are fewer. The work currently focuses on lacquering the floors of the sports game halls, according to the Jelgava Sports Service Center.
Facility manager Edgars Ludzītis explains that floor lacquering is necessary to ensure safe and high-quality sports sessions. Regular surface treatment protects the floor from wear, moisture, and mechanical damage, while preserving the grip properties required for sporting activities.
As part of the renovation, the logos placed in the center circles of the sports halls will also be updated. Over time, the previous images have deteriorated and faded along the lines. Previously, the center circles displayed a yellow moose from the Jelgava city coat of arms, along with the former logo of the Sports Service Center. Since the institution adopted a new visual identity in 2012, the updated logo will now be installed in the halls.
