Jonass and the Reišulis brothers in top ten at British Grand Prix qualifying
Pauls Jonass finished 10th in MXGP qualifying, while in MX2 Jānis Reišulis was sixth and Kārlis Reišulis tenth. Championship leader Lucas Coenen crashed.

In MXGP qualifying at the British Grand Prix, Spain's Ruben Fernandez took the win. He is seventh in the overall standings. Fernandez beat France's Romain Febvre by two seconds. Pauls Jonass was tenth, losing less than a second to Dutchman Kelvin Vlaanderen. Jonass scored one qualifying point and remains tenth in the championship with 269 points. He is now just four points behind South African Kay de Wolf, who is missing his third consecutive round. Championship leader Lucas Coenen (566 points) crashed and finished second to last. Jeffrey Herlings, fourth in qualifying, reduced the gap to 61 points.
In MX2, both Latvian riders made the top ten. Jānis Reišulis placed sixth, losing less than one and a half seconds to fourth place. Kārlis Reišulis was tenth. Germany's Simon Längenfelder won; he is third in the standings. Championship leader Sacha Coenen qualified fourth. In the overall standings, the Reišulis brothers are sixth and eighth.
MXGP races on Sunday are scheduled for 15:15 and 18:10 local time (16:15 and 19:10 Latvian time), while MX2 races are at 14:15 and 17:10 local time (15:15 and 18:10 Latvian time).
