Cyclist dies after falling from bike on Juglas krastmala in Riga; 146 road accidents in 24 hours

A cyclist lost his life in a road accident in Riga on Friday. The incident occurred at Juglas krastmala 2, where a man fell while riding a bicycle and succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Police are investigating the circumstances.
Across Latvia, a total of 146 road accidents were registered in the last 24 hours, resulting in 16 injuries. The highest number of crashes was in Riga and its surroundings – 89 accidents with 11 injured. Latgale saw 17 accidents with three injuries, Zemgale – 16 accidents with two injuries. Vidzeme recorded 17 accidents, while Kurzeme had seven – both regions with no casualties.
Among the injured, three were pedestrians, five were cyclists, and two were electric scooter riders.
