Second Decade of July in Latvia Warmer and Significantly Wetter Than Normal
The second ten-day period of July was warmer and much wetter than the long-term average in Latvia.

According to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre, the second decade of July was warmer and considerably wetter than the climatic norm.
The lowest air temperature recorded during this period was +8.8°C on July 20 at the Stende station, while the highest temperature reached +29.4°C on July 17 at the Jelgava observation station.
Average precipitation across the country was 34.5 mm, which is 137% of the 1991–2020 norm. The heaviest rainfall was measured in Stende with 91.4 mm, whereas the least amount fell in Priekuļi, with only 4.7 mm.
The drought and moisture index over one and three months remained mostly within normal ranges in central and eastern Latvia. However, in Kurzeme, it varied from moderately moist to extremely moist, peaking in Ventspils.
The average relative humidity during the decade was 81%, ranging from 73% in Alūksne to 89% in Pāvilosta. The strongest wind gusts were observed during a thunderstorm on July 12 in Rēzekne, reaching 21.4 m/s.
