Lawyer and entrepreneur Anna Saltikova: from juggling 14 jobs to a slower pace of life

Lawyer, entrepreneur and podcast host Anna Saltikova talks about once holding as many as 14 positions at once and how she is now learning to slow down. She stresses that success and motivation come mainly from within, not from external circumstances.

Lawyer, co-owner of three companies and host of the podcast "Atklāti ar Annu" Anna Saltikova has shared her thoughts on career, burnout and the search for meaning in life. She describes herself as "a professional dreamer with an action plan".

Work without rest

Saltikova reveals that her personal record was holding 14 jobs at the same time. For several years she worked six days a week, often 12 hours a day, and during her most intense period she worked 12 to 16 hours a day for three months straight without a single day off. She notes that no one forced her into this pace — it was her own drive and desire to accomplish everything at once.

On burnout and success

Saltikova says she knows many outwardly successful people who, despite wealth, travel and achievements, have lost their sense of purpose and joy because they no longer know what to pursue next. In her view, success is about 99% an internal factor, and a person's task is to keep thinking about their future and goals rather than stopping once something has been achieved.

A new pace of life

After leaving all her main jobs 42 days ago, Saltikova is learning to live more slowly. Although her days remain full, she is trying to take on less and to enjoy each activity individually rather than rushing from one task to the next. She admits the process is still ongoing and it is hard to fully assess how it has affected her well-being.
