Wooden apartment building fire in Jūrmala injures owner and firefighter
A fire broke out early Tuesday in a wooden apartment building in Priedaine, Jūrmala, destroying the roof and third floor and injuring the building's owner and a firefighter. Twenty-seven residents were evacuated.
A fire broke out early Tuesday morning in a wooden apartment building in the Priedaine area of Jūrmala, according to a report by the program "Degpunktā".
The blaze damaged the building's roof and third floor, affecting an area of roughly 400 square meters. As a result, 27 people living in the building had to be evacuated.
Two people were injured in connection with the fire: the building's owner and one of the firefighters who took part in extinguishing the flames.
Details about the condition of those injured, as well as the possible cause of the fire, have not yet been released.
