Jurmala 3x3 Basketball Team Fails to Qualify for Challenger Main Draw
The Latvian 3x3 basketball team Jurmala lost both qualification matches on Saturday in Serbia and did not advance to the main tournament of the Challenger event.
Jurmala's Setback in Serbia
Latvia's 3x3 basketball team "Jurmala" suffered a setback on Saturday in Serbia, failing to advance from the qualification group of the "Challenger" tournament.
The team consisted of Lauris Bērziņš, Artūrs Kazāks, Kristaps Čavars, and Ralfs Šķesters. Seeded 13th, Jurmala first lost 15-21 to "Zagreb" (seeded 14th). Kazāks led with 13 points, while Bērziņš and Čavars each scored one point.
In the second game, Jurmala lost 7-22 to "Crvena Zvezda" (seeded 9th). Čavars scored three points, while Šķesters and Kazāks added two points each.
In Group A of the qualification, Jurmala finished third, while only the group winner advanced to the main draw.
