Utah Mammoth Extend Contract with Head Coach Tourigny

The Utah Mammoth of the NHL have agreed to a long-term contract extension with head coach André Tourigny, along with assistant coaches Adam Foote and Blaine Forsythe.

The Utah Mammoth, who reached the Stanley Cup playoffs for the first time this season, have extended the contract of head coach André Tourigny. A long-term deal was also signed with new assistant Adam Foote, who was fired as head coach of the Vancouver Canucks a month ago, and his assistant Blaine Forsythe.

Tourigny became head coach of the Mammoth (formerly the Arizona Coyotes) in 2021, and his contract was extended for three seasons in 2023. He retained his position after the team relocated to Salt Lake City. This season, under Tourigny's leadership, the team qualified for the playoffs for the first time, losing in the first round to the eventual finalist Vegas Golden Knights.

Previously, Tourigny coached in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Ottawa team and was named OHL Coach of the Year for the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons. He also received the same honor in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) in 2005-06. Throughout his career, Tourigny has served as an assistant coach for the Colorado Avalanche and Ottawa Senators.
