During the first set tiebreak, an unusual event occurred – a seagull flew onto the court and snatched a banana belonging to Gannon. As the bird attempted to fly away with its prize, another seagull attacked and seized the banana, causing it to fall onto the grass. The moment was captured on video.
The ATP Challenger social media account posted the clip with the caption: 'A moment for the birds in Dublin 😂🍌', noting that a hungry seagull thought it had made off with Conor Gannon's banana until another swooped in. Meanwhile, Tiempo De Tenis shared the video describing it as: 'A seagull stole a banana in the middle of the match. A second later, another seagull attacked and the banana fell onto the lawn. Gannon, the local favorite, managed to maintain his composure and secure the win despite the bizarre interruption.
