Kambala's wife says Kaspars left her with over €10,000 in apartment debt

Olga, the wife of Latvian fighter Kaspars Kambala, told the magazine Privātā Dzīve that after their marriage collapsed she was left with unpaid apartment bills exceeding €10,000. She claims Kaspars blocked her after receiving his fight fee.

The marriage of Kaspars Kambala has broken down, and his wife Olga Kambala now faces financial trouble. She described the situation in Zane Piļka's article "He beat me", published in the Latvian magazine Privātā Dzīve. Kambala is a Latvian public figure who earns money from taking part in fights. What follows is Olga's account, which the source does not independently confirm.

A call from the building manager

Olga says that after arguments and violence in the marriage, Kaspars moved out of their shared apartment. The next day the building manager phoned her. He said Kaspars had not answered calls for a month and had not been paying the bills. Olga replied that her husband would soon receive a fee for a fight and would pay. The manager doubted it would be enough, since the debt was already more than €10,000.

Olga explained to the manager what was happening in the family. According to her, he sympathised on a human level but could not help. She also claims Kaspars had told him to throw her out of the apartment and that he did not care about her or the debt.

Left alone

Olga says she was left alone with huge debts and only three eggs in the fridge. Her daughter Lukērija, who has a job, supports her. Olga also alleges that as soon as Kaspars received his fight fee, he blocked her and, within three days, spent the thousands he had received with friends.
