Harry Kane has made history as the first Englishman to be named Germany's footballer of the year, and he has since spoken about what the honour might mean for his chances of winning the Ballon d'Or.

The Bayern Munich striker enjoyed a prolific season, finding the net 61 times across all competitions. His goalscoring form was a major factor in Bayern completing a domestic double, claiming both the league title and the cup, while the club also progressed to the semi-finals of the Champions League.
