Until August 9, the contemporary art center Kim? in Riga is hosting a solo exhibition by artist Karlīna Mežecka titled “Look into Me”. The exhibition delves into themes of life, sexuality, death, corporeality, and the transformation of the body.
In an interview on Latvijas Radio’s program “Kultūras rondo”, Mežecka explained that the core idea of the exhibition is the shift in perspective depending on the viewer’s point of view. Her works encourage visitors to observe themselves and the surrounding world from different angles, revealing new meanings and interpretations.
The exhibition offers an intimate look into the human inner world, confronting deeply personal and universal themes. Each piece serves as a window into the artist’s soul, while simultaneously inviting the viewer to reflect on their own experiences.
