Kārlis Streips, whom many consider a legend in several fields – from the Awakening and television to Eurovision and cooking – has shared his thoughts on his life and work in a recent interview. He particularly addressed his dismissal from TV24, where he hosted the show "Streips pārlūko pasauli" (Streips Reviews the World).

Streips expressed hope that this story is not over. He does not want his last words on television to be those he spoke at the end of his final show. In a career spanning almost half a century, Streips has experienced much, and he emphasizes that life is not only about television.

The interview also touched on other topics, including his identity as "the only gay in the village." Streips' versatility and contributions to various fields make him one of the most recognizable media figures in Latvia.
