Co-production film 'Steel Brotherhood' to premiere at Karlovy Vary film festival
The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in Czechia opens on 3 July with the world premiere of the documentary 'Steel Brotherhood', co-produced by Latvia, Ukraine, and Slovakia. Two more Latvian films are also selected.

On 3 July, one of Europe's oldest A-class film festivals, the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, will begin in Czechia. The festival's program includes the world premiere of the documentary 'Steel Brotherhood', a co-production between Latvia, Ukraine, and Slovakia.
In addition, two other Latvian films have been selected for various festival sections. Edmunds Jansons' animated feature 'The Lucky Ones' and Ēvalds Lācis' puppet film 'Mushroom Life' will also be screened.
Representatives of the National Film Centre note that the inclusion of these films highlights Latvia's growing presence in international cinema.
