Czech tennis player Karolína Muchová defeated American Coco Gauff in the semifinals to reach the Wimbledon final, where her opponent will be determined later.

On Thursday, July 11, 2024, Czech tennis player Karolína Muchová (WTA 9.) advanced to the Wimbledon final for the first time in her career. In the semifinal match, she defeated American Coco Gauff (WTA 7.) with a score of 6-2, 1-6, 7-6 (12:10).
This is Muchová's second Grand Slam final – three years ago she reached the French Open final, losing in three sets to Poland's Iga Świątek. Her previous best result at Wimbledon was reaching the quarterfinals twice.
The winner of the second semifinal will determine Muchová's opponent in the final. That match will feature Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk (WTA 13.) and Czech Linda Nosková (WTA 12.). Neither of them has played in a Grand Slam final before.
