Beaches near Riga overcrowded from early morning due to heatwave
By 10 AM on Sunday, Vakarbuļļi beach was already full with no parking spots left and crowded sand, as Latvia experiences intense heat.

On Sunday morning, the beaches near Riga saw heavy activity, reported portal "Delfi". Already around 10 AM, Vakarbuļļi beach was too late to find a parking spot, and the sand strip was crowded.
According to weather forecasts, it will be very hot in many parts of Latvia on Sunday, with extreme heat in western and central regions – air temperatures rising to +29…+34°C. Locally on the Gulf coast and in the east, temperatures will be lower, +24...+28°C. The UV index is predicted to be high.
In Riga, the day is expected to be dry and sunny with light wind. Very intense heat is forecast – temperatures will reach +31...+33°C.
