Kauno Žalgiris with Ikaunieks reach Lithuanian Cup semifinals
Latvian midfielder Dāvis Ikaunieks helped Kauno Žalgiris beat BFA 3-0 away to advance to the Lithuanian Cup semifinals.

Kauno Žalgiris secured a 3-0 away victory over second-tier side BFA (Baltic Football Academy) in Vilnius on Thursday to book their place in the Lithuanian Cup semifinals. Goals were scored by Brazilian Leu Ribeiru (32'), Austrian-born Nigerian Nosa Ijobosa Edokpolors (47'), and Lithuania national team striker Motejs Burba (87').
Latvian international Dāvis Ikaunieks started and played until the 78th minute – his longest appearance since May 19, when Žalgiris defeated Vilnius Riteriai 4-0 in the round of 16. The match marked Ikaunieks' return to a more significant role after a lengthy break.
In the semifinals, Žalgiris will face the winner of the Šiauliai vs. Džiugas Telšiai quarterfinal. Other quarterfinal results include Minija Kretinga beating Panevėžys 2-1, with matches between Dainava Alytus and TransINVEST Galinė, as well as Šiauliai and Džiugas, still to be played.
Žalgiris also have a UEFA Champions League qualifying first-round tie against Kosovo's Drita coming up.
