Kawhi Leonard, who just completed his best regular season statistically, is heading back to the Toronto Raptors in a trade deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, according to ESPN.

Leonard won the NBA championship with the Raptors in 2019, earning Finals MVP honors. He also achieved the same feat with the San Antonio Spurs in 2014. After his title run in Toronto, he became a free agent and chose to sign with the Clippers, his hometown team.

He spent seven seasons with the Clippers, having $50.3 million remaining on his contract for the upcoming season. This past season, he averaged 27.9 points per game in 65 regular-season appearances.

In exchange, the Clippers will receive Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, two first-round picks, one pick swap, and two second-round picks.
