Heat energy tariff in Ķekava to rise significantly from September
SIA "Ķekavas nami" plans to raise the final heat energy tariff by 23.3% from September 1, increasing it from €84.50 to €104.16 per megawatt-hour.

Residents in Ķekava who receive heating from the municipal company SIA "Ķekavas nami" may face a notable increase in their utility bills. The company has published its intention in the official journal "Latvijas Vēstnesis" to change the final heat energy tariff starting September 1.
The currently applicable tariff is €84.50 per megawatt-hour. Under the plan, the new tariff would reach €104.16 per megawatt-hour, representing a rise of 23.3%.
The largest share of the increase comes from the heat production tariff, which is set to climb by 26.2%. The transmission and distribution tariff would grow by 16.7%, while the trading tariff is expected to remain unchanged.
The new tariff would take effect only if the Public Utilities Commission does not adopt and publish a decision to revoke the proposed rates.
According to information from Firmas.lv, the company's turnover in 2025 was €6.91 million, with a profit of €54,770. Founded in 1997, "Ķekavas nami" has a share capital of €7.4 million and is wholly owned by Ķekava Municipality.
