In the early hours of June 27, the occupation administration announced the closure of the Kerch Bridge at around 4 a.m. Kyiv time. The bridge remained closed for approximately two hours.

Mikhail Razvozhayev, the occupation head of Sevastopol, claimed that the city was repelling an attack by Ukrainian armed forces, with air defense systems and mobile fire groups active. According to him, two drones were shot down in the Balaklava district.

Previously, the bridge was closed from 11:51 p.m. on June 25 until 6:14 a.m. on June 26, with 2,500 vehicles queuing for inspection on both sides by morning.

In June, Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov predicted that Crimea would soon be isolated due to Ukrainian drone strikes. On the night of June 23, explosions and numerous fires occurred in occupied Crimea, and the Kerch Bridge was closed until morning. Subsequently, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered his government and the Ministry of Defense to "take measures to reduce the consequences of Ukrainian Armed Forces attacks" on infrastructure to zero. Later, media published satellite images showing a traffic jam over 10 km long before the Kerch Bridge.

It is worth noting that the occupiers declared a regional-level emergency in Crimea and Sevastopol.
