Catherine wears Diana's favourite tiara at Windsor Castle state banquet
The Princess of Wales wore a pale yellow Elie Saab gown and Princess Diana's favourite tiara at the banquet for the Sultan of Oman's state visit at Windsor Castle. Eight working royals attended.

Catherine, Princess of Wales and wife of Prince William, arrived at a state banquet at Windsor Castle in a pale yellow Elie Saab gown with a cape. The banquet was held to honour the state visit of the Sultan of Oman to the United Kingdom. She completed the look with the well-known Lover's Knot tiara of pearls and diamonds, a favourite of Princess Diana.
Jewellery and honours
The princess also wore earrings and a bracelet that once belonged to Queen Elizabeth II. She had pinned on the Royal Family Order given by King Charles III, along with the sash and star of the Royal Victorian Order.
King Charles III wore the Al Said Order, Oman's highest state honour, which the Sultan had presented to him earlier the same day. Queen Camilla chose a purple chiffon Fiona Clare gown, an amethyst and diamond necklace and the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, once among Elizabeth II's favourite pieces.
Guests and the evening
Eight working members of the royal family attended the dinner. Alongside the King, the Queen, William and Catherine were Princess Anne and her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, as well as the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester. William and Charles wore Windsor tailcoats with bright red collars and cuffs. Catherine sat next to the Sultan of Oman.
Before the evening, Catherine and William posed for a black-and-white portrait on the steps of Frogmore House; the photographer was Greg Williams.
Harry and family relations
It is the first state visit since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle returned to live in Britain. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex no longer carry out official royal duties, so they did not attend.
On the same day, Harry told GQ magazine in an interview about long-running family rifts, saying he wanted to repair relations but that others did not. His representative later said the remark was not aimed at his brother or any other family member. William and Harry are believed not to have spoken for several years. Harry also mentioned his father's health: Charles is fighting cancer, and Harry said he was getting better.
