Two teenagers brutally beat man in Kyiv after he rebuked them for drinking alcohol
In Kyiv's Podil district, two 16-year-olds severely beat a 51-year-old man who had told them off for drinking alcohol in a courtyard. The victim suffered serious injuries and was hospitalized.

Kyiv police have notified two minors of suspicion after they brutally beat a man who had made a remark about their alcohol consumption. The incident took place in the Podil district.
According to police, two 16-year-old youths were drinking alcohol in the courtyard of the building where the victim lives. A 51-year-old man approached them and told them to stop. The group initially ignored him and continued their gathering, but when the man kept insisting, one of the youths punched him in the face, knocking him to the ground.
His friend then joined in the beating. Together, the attackers continued striking the man as he lay on the ground, hitting him with fists and feet in the head, stomach and chest. Following the assault, the victim contacted police.
Arrest and victim's condition
District officers, investigators and a task force arrived at the scene and immediately detained the youths. The victim sustained serious injuries, including a traumatic brain injury, fractures, and damage to the chest and internal organs. He was hospitalized.
The minors have been notified of suspicion of intentional grievous bodily harm committed by a group of persons. A court has already ordered them held in custody, with the option of bail set at 266,240 and 232,960 hryvnias respectively. Police noted the youths face up to 10 years in prison.
