Russian drone falls in Kyiv, munition fails to detonate
A Russian drone came down in Kyiv's Obolon district and the munition it carried did not explode, Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported.

A Russian-made unmanned aerial vehicle crashed in the Obolon district of Kyiv, Ukraine's capital. According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, the munition carried by the drone did not detonate.
The extent of any damage or injuries has not yet been disclosed, but emergency services were dispatched to the site to assess the situation and secure the area for nearby residents.
An air raid alert had been issued in the city before the drone came down, indicating a broader Russian strike on Ukrainian territory was underway at the time. While the failure of the munition to explode limited immediate destruction, an unexploded device still poses a risk until specialists can neutralize it.
Incidents involving Russian drones or their debris falling in Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities have become a recurring feature of the prolonged war, as Russia periodically launches mass drone and missile attacks across Ukrainian territory, including the capital.
