EU representatives join Trump envoys in Kyiv talks

Negotiations have begun in Kyiv with European Union representatives taking part alongside US envoys, according to Ukraine's intelligence chief.

Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine's military intelligence, confirmed that European Union representatives are participating in ongoing negotiations in Kyiv together with envoys from the United States.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy earlier announced that the negotiations began at around 14:20.

No further details have been made public regarding the specific participants or the agenda of the talks. The confirmed presence of EU representatives points to a broader European role in a process that has so far been largely associated with US mediation.
