Ukrainian intelligence says North Korea has effectively fired around 150 ballistic missiles at Ukraine since the start of the war, delivered through Russia's arsenal. Each recovered missile reportedly gives Kyiv new insight into Pyongyang's missile technology.

Components as evidence

Ukraine obtained components from a missile that Russia fired at Ukraine, and used them to show a visiting parliamentary speaker exactly what is inside the North Korean-made weapons that Moscow has been receiving from Pyongyang.

A threat beyond Ukraine

According to Ukrainian intelligence, the same North Korean missiles being used against Ukraine also pose a threat to Japan. This points to Pyongyang's missile program and its military cooperation with Russia carrying security implications beyond Europe, extending into East Asia.

Kyiv says it continues to collect and study wreckage and components from missiles that hit Ukrainian territory, aiming to better understand the capabilities of North Korean-made weapons and to share the findings with international partners, including countries that could fall within range of the same missiles.
