Air raid alert declared in Kyiv and several regions over ballistic missile threat
Overnight into September 8, Kyiv and several Ukrainian regions declared an air raid alert due to the threat of ballistic weapons use from Russia's Bryansk region. The alert was lifted around 00:50.

During the night of September 8, an air raid alert was declared in Kyiv and several regions of Ukraine over the threat of ballistic weapons use. The Kyiv City Military Administration, Ukraine's Air Force and an alert-tracking map reported the warning.
The Air Force stated that the threat came from the possible use of ballistic weapons launched from Russia's Bryansk region.
Earlier warnings
Before that alert, the Air Force had already declared a warning over a ballistic threat originating from Russia's Kursk region, and had also reported the movement of enemy drones over Ukrainian territory.
Around 00:50, officials announced that the air raid alert had been lifted.
