Kyiv couple marries hours after Russian strike destroys their home

Liudmyla and Leonid Ryzhak got married in Kyiv on 8 September, only hours after a Russian strike damaged their home beyond habitability.

The strike hit a warehouse located directly across the street from the couple's apartment. The resulting blast wave caused enough damage that the apartment could no longer be lived in.

Despite the destruction, the couple went ahead with their wedding as planned that same day in Kyiv. The account was reported by Euromaidan Press, citing AP video footage.
