KyivPride March Interrupted by Air Raid Alert
About 5,000 people joined the annual KyivPride march, which was interrupted by an air raid alert with explosions and air defenses activated in the capital.

On the weekend, approximately 5,000 participants gathered in central Kyiv for the annual KyivPride march. The event proceeded peacefully until it was suddenly interrupted by an air raid siren. Shortly after, explosions were heard across the capital, and Ukraine's air defense systems were activated. Organizers and attendees were forced to take shelter to ensure their safety. The incident underscores the ongoing threat of war that looms over every aspect of life in Ukraine, even during peaceful advocacy events. Despite the disruption, march participants reiterated their message: "Our families are part of Ukraine," vowing to continue their fight for equality and rights.
