Mao Ning of China's Foreign Ministry stated on 19 October that Beijing currently cannot offer any details about a possible meeting between the leaders of China, Russia and the United States. The leaders in question are Chinese President Xi Jinping, US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to the Ukrainian news outlet Pravda, Mao Ning stressed that she has no information at present about such a meeting. The source does not say who raised the possibility of a summit, nor does it mention any location or date.

The official's answer neither confirms nor rules out that such a meeting could take place in the future. It indicates only that Beijing is not commenting on specifics because, in Mao Ning's words, it has none to share.
