China's Best-Selling Car Arrives in Europe, But Costs Significantly More
The Geely E2, China's best-selling car of 2025, is now available in several European markets, where its price is at least double that in China.
The compact electric Geely E2, which became the top-selling car in China in 2025, has started sales in Europe. In China, the starting price is around €8,300, but in Europe, for example in Italy, it starts at nearly €21,000 – almost two and a half times higher.
According to available data, the Geely E2 attracted approximately 244,000 buyers in the first half of 2026, surpassing popular models like the Tesla Model Y, Xiaomi SU7, and Leapmotor A10. The success is attributed to its affordable price, compact dimensions (4.13 meters long), and generous equipment. Features include an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.6-inch multimedia screen, LED headlights, and adaptive cruise control.
Cargo space ranges from 375 to 1,320 liters, with an additional 70 liters in the front trunk. The electric motor paired with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery offers a range of 253 to 344 kilometers, depending on the version. The Geely E2 is also known as the Geely EX2, Geely Galaxy Xingyuan, or Geome Xingyuan in different markets.
