Film Critic Dārta Ceriņa: YouTubers Have Taken Over Cinema
Film critic Dārta Ceriņa believes that YouTubers have, in a way, taken over cinema. She reveals that her daily record is six films watched at the Venice Film Festival, which is her favorite festival.
In an interview with the magazine “Pastaiga,” film critic Dārta Ceriņa shared her views on the influence of YouTubers in the film industry. She stated that, in a sense, YouTubers have taken over cinema, referencing their growing role in reviewing and popularizing films.
Ceriņa also shared her experiences at film festivals. Her daily record is six films, achieved at the Venice Film Festival, which is her favorite. Why Venice? Because, according to her, it has a unique atmosphere where everyone is happy and loves cinema, without the arrogance often found in Cannes. However, she added that she also likes Cannes.
