Clark holds lead at BMW Championship as McIlroy climbs into share of second
American Wyndham Clark extended his lead to five shots after a third-round 65 at the BMW Championship, while Rory McIlroy's strong finish moved him into a tie for second place.

Wyndham Clark maintained his grip on the BMW Championship after a third-round 65 at Bellerive Country Club, stretching his overall lead to five shots and moving to -17 for the tournament.
The American's round began poorly with a double bogey on the opening hole, but he recovered strongly, adding two birdies and an eagle on the eighth to turn in two under par. He then birdied four of his next five holes before a bogey on the final hole rounded out his day.
Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy bounced back from a second-round 69 that had cost him the outright lead, carding a 65 on Saturday that included birdies on four of his last six holes. That performance lifted him into a share of second place on -12, level with American Patrick Cantlay, who shot a 66.
Among the home contingent, Chris Gotterup and Gary Woodland sit on -11, Collin Morikawa is on -10, and South Korea's Im Sung-Jae is on -9.
Scotland's Robert MacIntyre and world number one Scottie Scheffler both shot 68 to join a group of eight players on -15, with England's Aaron Rai and Matthew Fitzpatrick a shot further back.
It was a tougher day for England's more experienced pair, Justin Rose and Tommy Fleetwood, both of whom fell down the leaderboard after over-par rounds. Rose's 73 leaves him on -1 heading into the final round, while Fleetwood slipped to +2 after a 74.
