Kļaviņš finishes eighth at World Championships in running target shooting among juniors

Latvian junior Nauris Kļaviņš placed 8th at the World Championships in running target shooting, while the men's team ranked 7th.

At the ongoing World Championships in running target shooting in Tallinn, Latvian athletes are competing against strong international competition. In the junior category, the best result for Latvia was achieved by Nauris Kļaviņš, who scored 344 points to take 8th place among 18 participants, showing his potential for future events.

In the men's individual event, the highest-placed Latvian was Agnis Dombrovics with 332 points, ranking 26th out of 29 shooters. Dāvis Zaube scored 312 points for 28th place, while Jānis Tams finished 29th with 308 points.

In the team competition, the Latvian men's team (Dombrovics, Zaube, Tams) totaled 952 points to secure 7th place.

In the women's event, Aina Smiltiņa represented Latvia, scoring 280 points for 18th place.

The World Championships in Tallinn run until July 26, and Latvian shooters are scheduled to compete in other running target disciplines.
