Klāvs Vasks Re-elected as President of Latvian Luge Federation
At the general meeting and election session of the Latvian Luge Federation on July 3, 2026, Klāvs Vasks was re-elected as president for another four-year term, along with Dace Gods-Romanovska as vice-president and Kristaps Mauriņš as secretary general.

New Leadership
The Latvian Luge Federation (LKSF) held its members' general meeting and election session on July 3, 2026, electing the federation's leadership for the next four years. Klāvs Vasks was re-elected as president for another term. Dace Gods-Romanovska was elected as vice-president, and Kristaps Mauriņš as secretary general.
The meeting also approved the new board, which includes Klāvs Vasks, Dace Ābeltiņa, Iluta Gaile, Dace Gods-Romanovska, Normunds Grava, Kristaps Mauriņš, Riks Kristens Rozītis, Zintis Šaicāns, and Juris Šics.
Track Success
Latvia has a strong tradition of winning medals in luge at the Winter Olympics. In the 2026 Winter Games, Elīna Ieva Bota won a silver medal in the women's event.
