KNAB reminds: administrative resources banned in pre-election campaigning before 15th Saeima elections

The Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (KNAB) this week issued a reminder concerning the upcoming elections to the 15th Saeima. The bureau notes that during the pre-election campaign period, it is prohibited to use the administrative resources of institutions to carry out or support campaign activities.

KNAB underlines that institutions must not use their administrative resources to facilitate or back election campaigning. The ban applies to direct campaign actions as well as any form of support for such activities. The reminder has been published to promote compliance with the law ahead of the elections.

The bureau emphasises that the restriction remains in force throughout the entire pre-election campaign period. Administrative resources may not be diverted for campaign purposes. KNAB's statement serves as a reminder to prevent possible violations and to ensure a fair and equal electoral process before the 15th Saeima elections.
